Pluto King Street
Our King Street location proudly serves families in Waterloo and is our largest centre, with eight classrooms and capacity for up to 121 children. Conveniently situated near the intersection of King Street North and Weber Street North, this vibrant centre offers a variety of programs for children from infancy through preschool.
Supported by a passionate team of educators and leaders, King Street provides a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can build confidence, develop friendships, and discover a lifelong love of learning.

Nicky
Nicky has been proud to be part of the Pluto Day Care family since 2017, when she began her journey as a Registered Early Childhood Educator at our King Street location. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, gaining valuable experience while working with children, families, and fellow educators. She later transitioned to our Activa location, where she continued to develop her leadership skills and deepen her understanding of high-quality early learning environments. In 2021, she stepped into the role of Supervisor, and in 2026, she returned to our King Street location to continue as Supervisor.
As a Supervisor, Nicky values building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and educators. She believes that a positive and collaborative environment is the foundation of a successful program. Nicky strives to lead with empathy, open communication, and respect, ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. She is committed to maintaining a welcoming and nurturing community where children, families, and educators can learn, grow, and succeed together.
Outside of work, Nicky enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, swimming, listening to music and playing Slo-Pitch.

Hello, my name is Krystal, and I have been a Registered Early Childhood Educator for over 18 years. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting children's growth, learning, and development while creating positive and nurturing environments for families. I joined Pluto Child Care in 2019 and have had the opportunity to work with all age groups throughout the centre, allowing me to gain valuable experience and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
In the spring of 2022, I stepped into the role of Assistant Supervisor. This position has allowed me to further support our educators, families, and centre operations while continuing to advocate for high-quality early learning experiences. I enjoy collaborating with our team and helping create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Outside of work, I am a proud wife and mother of two teenagers. I love spending time with family and friends, especially vacationing at our trailer where we can relax and make lasting memories together. In my free time, I enjoy swimming and curling up with a good book, which helps me recharge and find balance outside of my professional life.
